Thanks for checking out Hayden’s Hounds!
I am a dog trainer who has studied canine behavior and psychology through the Will Atherton Academy for the last year. I am an active trainer and behavior assistant at a local animal shelter, where I’ve gained more experience working with all types of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Learning and acquiring more skills for my practice is a continuous journey that I incorporate daily.
My mission is to ensure all dogs stay out of the shelters and remain in the arms of their loving leaders.
I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of training dogs and understanding how they communicate. Growing up, I always enjoyed assisting my neighbors with training their dogs. However, I became more passionate about training when I got my first dog (Max) 11 years ago. He truly is a man’s best friend, even with his mischievous and quirky personality. Max developed reactivity over the years after I failed to establish a good foundation with boundaries. Things needed to change and as I learned more about canine psychology and applied my knowledge, Max and I’s communication improved tenfold! Our walks became smoother, he became more engaged, and he’s learned so much even in recent years. It goes to show that dogs can continue to learn no matter what their age. After I found that spark again, I decided it was time to turn my hobby into a career that brings me so much joy.
